After the Knicks vs Lakers Meet & Greet at Madison Square Garden:

It was a pleasure to meet you and your kids.  You guys have really done a wonderful thing with this charity.  My daughter had a blast and I did as well.
Thank you again for everything.

Just wanted to thank you and your entire family for last night.  Spencer and I had a wonderful time and it was a very special event.  Larry Nance Jr. is a really impressive young man.  Please let me or Julie or Spencer know what we can do to help in the future (and where I can buy some of those great Athletes vs. Crohn’s hats).

Thank you so much for including Chase last night.  It was really special for him to meet other kids with Crohn’s and, of course, Larry.  What a special gift he will always remember.
Thank again!

Many many thanks to you, your lovely family, Larry and Hailey for such a wonderful evening! You all couldn’t have been more gracious, kind and patient.
Looking forward to all the A vs C events to come….

I wanted to send a quick note of thanks for inviting Ethan to the Athletes vs. Crohn’s event last night.  It was an incredible experience for both Ethan and I, and I know that Ethan will never forget it.  The organization’s mission is a noble one, and I was extremely impressed with Larry’s patience and time with the kids after the game last night.  I could tell the sincerity of his message to the kids in his voice.

It was also a great experience for me to talk with the other parents to hear their child’s and family’s experiences in managing through the disease.  As is the case with other childhood diseases, it always helpful to speak with other parents who are dealing with similar issues.

Pam, again, thanks for including Ethan and our family in the Athletes vs. Crohn’s journey.  We look forward to participating in future events/efforts in the future.

Posts from Social Media:

Our beautiful girl with Crohn’s has followed Larry Nance Jr since we learned his story. What a blessing to have successful ambitious role models who understand your suffering! It helps her know she will make it.

What an awesome idea for an organization! I was a college athlete myself, then I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and I stopped playing hockey competitively. I feel better now than I ever have before, and I look to improve my physical health every day, as well as my athleticism. Now a days I like to play golf, some days I play great, others not so much. But I love it because it gives me an opportunity to tap into my competitive spirit! I look forward to actively following this foundation, donate when possible, and hopefully connect and feel inspired from fellow athletes with Crohn’s or Colitis.

I have had Crohns since 2006- I have travelled all over the world- singing and doing my best to bring hope to people, all the while very few knew the struggle I went through on a daily basis. I have had all kinds of treatment and several major surgeries. I am so thankful for my family, and most of all my wife, for INCREDIBLE support. I must say though- it is SO GREAT to see this out there! Support and inspiration from athletes and role models who can bring awareness and make a HUGE difference! Thank you guys for doing what you do and continuing to battle in your profession and in your life #greatness#crohnsdisease #life #real #support

From the first annual L7 Scholarship Winner:

To be honored with the first annual scholarship from Athletes vs. Crohn’s and Colitis is an honor and a privilege. I want to personally thank you, Noah, Larry and the entire team involved with this organization. The generous college scholarship that was awarded to me on Monday, December 11, 2017 will make a huge impact in financing my college education.

I have been accepted to Seton Hall, Monmouth University, Manhattan College and the Rutgers School of Business. With a college education I hope to have a successful future and offer a positive difference in society. I am looking forward to being a part of this organization with you, Noah, Larry and the entire team of volunteers.

Having Crohn’s has helped me see that you need a support system to guide and help you, I am hoping to offer support to other athletes with crohn’s and colitis through this foundation.

Sincerely,
Joe Contino
